The River Porters

You are two river porters.

The river here is wide, but not deep.

When travelers come along the road, you help them on to your litter, then carry them across the water. For a fee, of course!

The water comes up to your chest, and sometimes to your shoulders.

Each time you carry a traveler (or travelers) across, they'll recollect a story from their travels.
